look at the kitty my mom found on the street today and brought home. ain't she a sweet little pie? i'm thinking of keeping her, can anyone give me some advice of how to raise a kitty?

you got right to my heart! I love cats! Got 3 little girls at home but not kittens any more. Is she old enough to be without her mama? Looks so small. I've not had a kitten for so long not sure to tell you what to do. Maybe you should call a vet and get advice what to do.

Got a name for her? My girls are Sox (black and white), Jazmin (gray tabby) and CiCi (calico lots of white with rust like colors and dark brown)

yeah, i'm sure she can live without her mom, she's quite big, she's bigger than my hand, i need about three hands to cover her. and yes, i've got a name for her, her name is milka,like the chocolate:P. my mom wanted to call her enrique at first but the i noticed that she's a girl (she didn't wear a bra, if you know what i mean...) and i didn't want to offent enrique's masculinity so, after a long, long, long, long list of names, (which included pepsi, cola, schweppes, sprite and fanta:)) ) we decided to call her milka. i don't know if she likes it but she'll get used to it

What advice can I give. I had a lot of cats in my life. All of them had different tastes in food. General advice: don't give the kitten too much milk, it'd be better if you give only clear water most of the time. because kittens feel not very good after they drink milk. (have a stomac ache and "specific" result of it lol) because milk of cow is different from the one of cat. Don't give cats too fresh/cold meet and fish (always flood it with a boiled water for a few minutes and then let it became cooler and only after this give it to her), best of all feed cats with chicken meet. Don't forget about vitamines. As for feed (provenders). It's really better to go to a good vet to consult about food because it depend on case and cat. If your cat will live inside of the house, it's one type of food. and if your cat will be free and may go out from your house, make her special injections (little bit later) and cosult about provenders for such type of cat. Start at once with expensive feed for cat because the once that are all the time shown in ads usually content drugs in it and not very useful for cats and some of them may result in serious desease. All vets advice not to change the feed of cat very often.
As for my cat. We give him 2 special dry provenders and different types of meet from time to time (as he's treating from a desease (don't know exactly hot it's call in English but it's one of the most frequent desease of cats)he's on the diet).

thanks for the advice,ketty, and thanks specially for telling me about the cow milk, i just gave it some, i threw it away now, i don't want any secondary effects...and i'll take it to the vet to see what he tells me, this is the first cat i have, i don't want it to suffer very much with me

she is very sweet!! i have allways have cat in my live the one i have now her name is pixie she is now 1 year old now i have her sice she was 1 moth old my othere cat jerry die 1 year ago (lisent wherever u do dont gith her normal milk !!! will gith ger diarea u have to gith her condensed milk because is the same of her mother milk if u havent take her to the vet yet! that what the vet tol me whent my pixie was 1 month old but mixed the condensed milk with water or get the kitten milk from the shop she look about the same 3 week half old to me u need to take of her take her to the vet to have vaccination very importan !! they will gith u a healcare record book of ur cat i dont know how to put a picture of my pixie here i try but dosent let me is not easy to raise a kitty
but is nice is anothere member of the family and o good company sorry my inglish is not very good but pls no normal milk !

They are so precious, aren't they? My daughter has 2 kitties, named Simba Boy and Azrayelle. Simba was not even 2 weeks old when we got him as his mom got hit by a car, so I fed him baby formula (similac with iron) with a syringe (needle removed of course) and with an eye dropper. This one of yours seems too old for that, just make sure to go to a pet store and vet and get him/her some kitten food (hard), and some vitamins. They say never to feed them milk, as they are lactose intolerant when they grow up, so fresh cold water everyday. Lots of toys, his own fluffy bed, :). They say to not feed them canned food yet as they want their teeth to get strong. Make sure to get the shots for them from the vet: feline leukemia, distemper, and rabies... Even if they are a complete indoor cat, do it just in case they ever get out and just to be safe. Just give 'em lots of love & attention, haha.
I heard this saying before... Dogs are the pets and the humans are their masters. Cats they are the rulers, and we are their servants. If they did not need us, they would just eat us, finicky creatures and independant as they are. Cutest thing is when they are developing their hunting skills, so sweeeeeeeeeeet to watch. Hahaha, yep for sure, they are our rulers, gotta love them, I adore them. Anyone that does not melt at the sign of a kitten or puppy must have no heart...

aw..... the kitten is so cute...... the little mammal! lololz...... yep if I were you, I would keep him/her :)..... how to raise a kitty? just think of it as your own child...... thts what I do :)..... hehehe
