A fun but silly story...The last & final chapter is on page 478..updated 16th August 2012

Now i must explain first when i went to this concert i wasn’t a huge fan my friend Sophie asked if i would go and i said yes i`ll go, never seen him live i wasn’t that bothered who he was, i just love live music. We did make sure that Enrique`s greatest hits cd was playing all the way to Cardiff just so i didn’t look stupid ,but i knew all his songs anyway ,just never brought any of his albums. The only song i hadn’t listened to in a long time was “ hero “ and that song reminded me of my ex and every time it was played i use to turn the radio off! Too many memories , too hurtful to listen too.

So, we drive to Cardiff to watch Enrique in concert, it took us about 2 hours to get there traffic was good on this particular day thank god, when we arrived around 4pm it was a lovely sunny day.

We found somewhere to park quite easy right next to the Cardiff arena. We sat in the car wondering
what to do as we were so early, i said “well , we could walk into town go get something to eat, go shopping just to kill sometime then come back a little later on”.

We got out the car, we decided to check which way we had to go in to the arena we looked up & noticed a huge crowd had developed at the back of the arena, so went to see what all the fuss was about.Enrique had just arrived and he was running late as usual and i just saw the top of his hat, all these girls were screaming out his name to which i just laughed and shook my head, all of a sudden i heard some one call my name “June, June “over here i looked over by the barrier & noticed a guy waving at me, it was one of the Roadie`s that i knew called Jamie i knew Jamie from another gig he was doing ages ago. Jamie was 6ft with short Blonde hair not bad looking if i were honest.

He called me over & asked how i was, said i was fine said hello to my friend Sophie, i said to” Jamie what brings you here” he replied “the company i work for are doing the Enrique tour”, “wow that`s good for ya” i replied. Jamie then said to me “Are you still a keen photographer”

“yes i am why?” Looking really puzzled.

“Well Enrique`s resident photographer has had to go back home to Miami due to ill health & the management & Enrique are losing their minds because they desperately need someone to take photos for tonight`s gig & the rest of his tour”. I smiled & said “what has that got to do with me” acting a bit dumb and smiling at Jamie “well ,was wondering if your up to doing it i would have to go and speak to his people first” i blushed and i said “yeah would love too, but it wont Happen Jamie they wouldn’t want someone like me ,miss ordinary doing that sort of thing, he said “lets try yeah?”

I gave him my number & he said he would ring & let me know either way.

We walked off and Sophie was dead excited i said “don’t get your hopes up it aint going to happen lets walk in to town to get something to eat” by this time i was starving it was like 4.30pm we hadn’t eaten since 9am & that was at breakfast!

we got half way in to town when my phone rings its Jamie i gasp at Sophie, shaking i answered it & he said “where are you? Walking in to town why? “

“Well you better get your sorry little arse back here they want you to do some test shots of Enrique`s sound check & if your any good you`ve got the gig!!” I squealed with delight & went “nah Jamie your winding me up” he replied “i am not June, Enrique said he wanted to see what you were
made of! So, seriously get your arse back here now, but you have to be here
like now” he screamed. “Ok, ok” i said “we`re coming back right now but i warn you, you better not be winding me up Jamie! “I turned to Sophie & said “we`ve gotta go back they want me now!” smiling
really silly I said to Jamie “we`re be there in about 10 minutes”

I screamed, jumped up & down, said “we going to have to run back mate” she laughed & said “what in these heels” i said “yeah take them off “laughing.we ran as fast as we could back to the arena as it was getting late it was about 5.00pm and the doors were due to open at 6.30pm but Enrique hadn’t even done his sound check.

We got back to the arena and there was even more people waiting to see Enrique and as we were walking towards the barrier i heard some bloke say to these girls “oh they reckon they going to just walk up & go straight in” i smiled at the little cocky bloke as The security guy lifted the barrier up, i said “we`re here to see Jamie”, the guy look over at Jamie he gave The nod and the security guard let us through. The bloke blushed with embarrassment, i looked at him and laughed he put his head down because he knew how stupid he sounded, to be honest i don’t think he even knew we heard him say
what he did.

Jamie said “here your both going to need these access all areas passes” as we were walking into the venue, we put them over our heads so that the hung from out necks, so that they could be scanned each time we went anywhere.

“Sophie, your going to have to sit this one out i`m afraid your have to wait in the lounge room as Enrique doesn’t want anyone else in the arena apart from the Band, sound engineers & his management and of course June” Jamie smiled at this because he knew that this could be the best thing that has happened to me. It did make me blush that Enrique only wanted me in there with the others, and i thought, yeah right as if Enrique would even give me a second glance.

Jamie took me through and i remember thinking this is too good to be true someone pinch me please, my heart was beating so fast i was shaking, the palms of my hands were sweaty and my mouth was dry, Dave one of the sound guys introduced me to everyone he said “you can go anywhere you like,
where would you prefer to take your pix?” I said sheepishly ,”can i go on the cat walk?”

Dave replied “yes you can”, smiling at me there was some small steps leading to end of the catwalk & i decided i was going to sit crossed legged at the end to take some pix just take a few then go nearer once i plucked up the courage to do so...Id never seen Enrique in concert let alone met him & i never really been nervous when i have met famous people before,but this time “oh boy”

Enrique popped out from the side of the stage saw me sitting on the end of the catwalk & waved said
in to the microphone “Hey June, you ok?”

The house lights were up so he could see me clearly He looked so handsome and so tall id forgotten how tall he was. He was wearing his trade mark cap jeans, white hoodie with a scarf to keep his throat warm. I thought my heart was going to stop beating, I could feel it miss a beat when i saw him standing there smiling. I was looking up feeling myself blushing a lot i waved back & smiled thinking my god he looks even more handsome in the flesh.

The band starting playing ring my bells just as Enrique started walking towards me i was laughing to myself because i was so nervous, i could feel myself going red as he walked up to me smiling and singing “ring my bells” He stopped singing, the band continued to play.

He came right up to me sat down in front of me crossed his legs and our knees were touching each other, he said “you ok”? too which i replied “well err no, if i am honest i am shitting myself,” too which
he burst out laughing “hold your hands out “i put my camera down & i held my hands out he said “turn your hands, so your palms are facing the floor”, i looked at him he said “wow, you really are shitting yourself “ he said laughing at me “ your hands are shaking like mad, just like mine”

he started to laugh as he made his hands shake. I laugh at him thinking you silly sod but he put me at ease really quickly.

Enrique then said “bet your heart is beating real fast? “To that i answered “yes, it is “ took his right hand & placed it on my heart without even thinking where his hand was, he looked me right in the eye for a good few seconds smiled and then moved his hand away slowly, he was still smiling at this point. I thought how embarrassing was that, i mean, I don’t even know the guy really & go and do that to him, stupid, stupid i kept saying to myself.

I also remember thinking how beautiful his eyes were while he looking at me for that split moment,the skin on is hands was so soft. He then took hold of my camera & came right next me put his to head to my head & took a photo,” smile” he said as he was taking it.

He then got up ,extended his arms ,pulled me up said “bet your not nervous now are ya”

kissed me on both cheeks gave me hug and said “go for it June , take as many pix as you like, the more the better lets see how good u really are!! Put it this way if these photo`s don’t come out very good Jamie is going to be in big trouble” laughing.

I took about 50 photos of him doing the sound check he was running late as usual but he needed
to make sure everything was good to go for tonight`s gig, he finished & i said “Thanks Enrique” he said “No probs June i`ll take a look at them now if that`s ok? Yeah of course”, I took the memory card out the camera and gave it to him he said “do you mind waiting in the lounge room with the band? Just while i take a look at these with Fernando and we won`t keep you in suspense too long i promise you” he said smiling & he gave me a wink.

Went into the lounge room & my friend Sophie was talking
to Laura Jane they both asked how it went i said “ok i think, their looking at them now” i said nervously. Laura said “he will love them June trust me, Sophie has showed me some other photo`s that you have taken & you are really good June, Don`t put yourself down”, “cant help it “”i replied “just don’t think i am that good if i am totally honest with you” i snapped and i apologise for snapping but she understood how much this meant to me.

I smiled at her but i wasn’t convinced kept thinking he wasn’t going to like them & that they would be wasting their time testing me when they could have got a professional photographer in for one night.

About half an hour went past and i have to say it was the longest half hour of my life i was walking up & down the room thinking to myself he won`t like them, bet they turned out blurred. Everyone kept telling me sit down don’t worry, but i couldn’t i was worrying big time.

Then the door swings open i stop dead in my tracks, Fernando says “June, come with me”...Gulp i looked at everyone in the room they wished me luck. Enrique`s dressing room was at the end of the corridor my heart was beating so fast, i was so sure that Fernando could hear it going boom,
boom boom, Fernando knocked on Enrique`s door walked in & said to me “come in, sit down next to Enrique” i smiled and said “thanks” as i did Enrique kissed me again on the cheek & said “well
well well.”...............

I was really blushing at this point my heart was pounding, my hands a little sweaty, my mouth was so dry & i honestly thought i was going to cry.........

A Fun But Silly Story Part 2

Chapter 31

Enrique is pacing up & down the corridor he looks at his phone see`s one of the photograph on there that he took of me from our a few days away I was laughing & looked so happy. Carlos says to him “you’re going to make yourself sick if you keep doing that” He sighs says “I know I just feel so useless out here I wanna help her” Carlos pats him on the back as he sit`s down says “June will need you more when she comes out of there,”

It was about 2am now the doctor came out walked over to Enrique said “she`s ok” Enrique just said “Oh thank God” with tears in his eyes, the Doctor continued to say “The operation went well, we managed to get the Egg removed but we had to remove one of her Fallopian Tubes but we used Key hole surgery, she will have to stay in for a few days just make sure she is recovering well” Enrique smiles at Carlos & says “Thank god, can I see her?” well she is still asleep but as soon as she is awake we will take her upstairs to be in a room on her own”

They thanked the Doctor and they went outside for some fresh air, Enrique switched his cell phone on he had many missed calls “Fernando has rung me 5 times I better call him back” he presses the button for Fernando he answers it straight away “How is June?” Enrique sighs with relief tears welling up inside his eyes “She is going to be ok thank god, Fernando I could’ve lost her you know?” Fernando said “But you didn’t did you I am so pleased she is ok, how long she staying in hospital?” “A few days they want to make sure she is healing well” Give June a hug & kiss from me & I`ll pop over tomorrow to see her” “Thanks I will do”

About 4am I am wheeled back upstairs Enrique is waiting for me he sits down close to the bed holds my hand & he strokes my forehead I open my eyes I smile at him as he says “June I love you” I close my eyes again he lays his head on the bed beside me still holding my hand he closes his eyes & falls asleep thinking about us!

Enrique stirs when he hears the nurses in my room, “what time is it?” She said “just gone 7, did I wake you?” No how is she today?” the nurse checks my blood pressure “her Blood pressure is a little high still” I wake up lift my head up as Enrique looks at me “Hey baby, how you feeling?” he kisses me “I feel like i have been hit by a truck, I ache all over” He positions my bed so I can sit up a little bit “My stomach is killing me what happened?” The nurse looks at Enrique & says “The doctor is coming round to see you later this morning he wants to explain everything to you!” Enrique smiles says “Your ok that`s the main thing June!” He squeezes my hand I felt something bad was going to be told to me & I was slightly worried. The nurse brought us both some breakfast Carlos came in to see me too he had got some breakfast “hey June how ya doing Hun?” he kisses me on both cheeks as I smile said “I`ve been better” I had some toast & some Tea I couldn’t handle anything else.

The Doctor walks in to see me at 8am he says “morning, how you feeling June?” I smile said “I ache all over but ok other than that!” he sits on the bed says “well, you gave us all quite a scare last night June, you had an ectopic pregnancy but we didn’t know until we got you in the OR we had to take out one of your fallopian tubes due to it rupturing” I look at Enrique I had tears in my eyes he did too, he squeezed my hand as the doctor says “that is why you were bleeding a lot, we caught you in time, you did lose a lot of Blood but your ok, we just want to monitor you today if that`s ok?” I smile say Yeah, I guess so” I look at Enrique & smile mouth to him “I love you” He smiles back squeezes my hand.

Enrique says “I am going to go home for a shower & change of clothes would you like me to bring something from the house?” I shake my head said “No, but have a sleep before you come back you looked shattered babe” Carlos pulls Enrique by the arm says “come on man do as June says” Enrique leans in kisses me & goes home.

Enrique had been gone about an hour, I close my eyes as I do I feel weird once more, the pain in my stomach returns it`s quite bad again, I press the buzzer a few times really quickly a nurse rushes in as i am doubled over she said “you have the same pain June” I nod say “feels worse” The doctor rushes in to my room tells the nurse call the OR tell them we are on our way” I am now in so much pain the tears are falling down my face a steady trickle of tears, I bend over with this pain. They talk to me as they get me prepped the nurse says “I think you now have an infection June, all I will say you may need to prepare yourself” I look at her “what do you mean prepare myself?” She looks “we may have to take your uterus away if that has been damaged through the infection but that is the worst case scenario” I looked at her shocked say “Do you really?” she replies with “But that`s under the most extreme circumstances” The pain is getting worse I scream out loud just as the doctors sedates me!

About 25 minutes later I am still in the OR when Enrique comes back he walks into my room all smiles, the smile leaves his face as he realises I`m not there, he walks out to the nurses station asks “What has happened to June?” The Nurse looks at her colleague she pulls Enrique to one side says “about an hour after you left June started to feel unwell, she started to experience some severe abdominal pain again we think she may have an infection so we have whisked June to the OR to help her” Enrique rubs his eyes then his face, says “why didn’t anybody call me?” The nurse replied “there wasn’t enough time to call you, sorry!” Enrique worried sick now says “please tell me she is gonna be alright” Yeah once we sort this infection out, she should be as good as new”

Enrique started to walk away when the nurse caught him up she said “June has come out of surgery now, she is in recovery, June wont be back down here until at least another hour!” He smiles says “Thank you I`ll just go outside make some calls” as he walks outside he notices Fernando he smiles at Enrique “so how is she today?” Enrique shakes his head “not too good, she has just come back from more surgery, they think she now has an infection so they needed to take her back to the OR” Fernando puts his hand on Enrique`s shoulder says “June will be fine, you stay positive”

Enrique was still outside as I am wheeled back in to my room, I start to wake up I open my eyes look around couldn’t see Enrique anywhere I called the nurse over & I ask her “where is my husband?” She smiles “he`s outside getting some fresh air I`ll go & fetch him for you”

The nurse walks outside walks up to Enrique says “June is asking for you” He smiles says “Thank you” to the nurse Enrique looks at Fernando he smiles at Enrique pats him on the back says “go in & see her June needs you!” he pats Fernando on the back & walks back with the nurse, he walks in to my room I see him & we both burst out crying! He strokes my head moves my hair away from my face moves the breathing mask, kisses me on the mouth says “I love you so much babe, your going to be alright now I promise you!” I smile at him & close my eyes with Enrique holding my hand tight.

The doctor came in to chat with Enrique about 25 minutes later, says “June did have an infection, we have sorted that, she does have some scaring, do you both want anymore children?” Enrique looks at the doctor shakes his head says “No, we have a great family now!” The doctor nods says “well, if you do decide you want children you might struggle to conceive because of the damaged” Enrique looks at him “Thank you for letting me know, Do you want me to explain to June when she wakes up?” He replied with “Yes, if you have any questions then just call for me or ask one of the nurses, June is on an anti-biotic drip to help kill any of the infection that might be in her body I want to keep her in for the rest of today & I will see how she is in the morning before I allow her home, but she will need loads of rest when she does come home” Enrique smiles says “Thanks” And he leans over to me & kisses my cheek.

About an hour later I wake up again, look, see Enrique holding my hand as he was talking to Fernando “Hey you, how you feeling now?” I smile remove the oxygen mask “Much better now” I try & sit up but it`s too painful Enrique says to me “you need to stay like that for awhile babe, you caught an infection” I sigh close my eyes once more. Fernando says “I`ll go get some food for us, should I get June something” Enrique says “I don’t think she will be hungry but if she is June can have some of mine”

I wake again about 20 minute later this time I sit up a little Enrique adjusted my bed I ask Enrique “well, what happened to me then do you know babe?” Enrique sighs as he tell me “well, babe you had an ectopic pregnancy” I looked shocked said “No way, how can that be, I mean I take precautions, I don’t understand” He smiles as he continues to tell me “they retrieved the egg but you then caught an infection so they had to sort that out too, but babe if you want anymore children you might struggle as you do have some scaring & it might or should I say be difficult to conceive!” I look at him “I don’t think we`re have anymore children do you?” he smiles says “don’t know babe we didn’t know you were pregnant this time round did we?” I laugh at him smile “so, am I going to be alright?” He nods says “you should make a full recovery but you gotta stay here until tomorrow baby” He sit`s on the side of the bed places my head in his hands & kisses me full on the mouth he slips his tongue inside my mouth & we kiss for ages. Fernando walks in says “excuse me guys you want me to walk out again?” I look at Fernando laughing “Nooo, you stay” Fernando says “June I got you something to eat, are you hungry?” I smile say “A little” The nurse walks in to take my blood pressure says “how you feeling now June, Better???” I nodded “Much thank you erm I am allowed something to eat?” She nods says “yeah just something light, why what have they brought you?” Fernando said “Only some toast with peanut butter” I looked at Fernando said “How did you know I love that stuff, haven’t had it in years” he laughed said “Funny enough Olivia loves it too, when you were away I popped round & she was having some after spending the day in the pool” I laugh as Enrique said “I did tell him not to get you anything as I didn’t think you would be hungry” I just laugh at him saying “well, at least someone is thinking about me !” he just smiled at me squeezed my hand.

About 2pm Carlos comes to see how I`m doing he brings Olivia with him she walks in she wants to hug me but both Carlos & Enrique say “you can sit on the bed give mommy a kiss but you need to be careful” Enrique picks her up kisses me says “are you ok mommy?” I smile at her move her hair away from her face & say “I`m ok just got to stay here for tonight I hope to be home tomorrow” she looks at Enrique says “Good” The nurse pops in says “Guys I need to examine June do you mind waiting outside?” Enrique says “Can I stay?” The nurse nods says “Of course you can” The others leave us the nurse moves the bed linen away feels my stomach, I wince a little she says “your still tender, but your healing nicely doesn’t look as Red as it did earlier June!” I smile she re-dresses my cut it was only a small incision so it should heal nicely.

Enrique says “shall I take Olivia home?” I shake my head “No she hasn’t been here long it would be so unfair to take her now, she can lie on the bed with me” he leans over kisses me says “your the best babe” Olivia rushes back in Enrique lifts her on to the bed where she cuddles me & I fall asleep holding her. Carlos & Fernando called Enrique over saying “we`re going now, we`re come back tomorrow if we haven’t heard anything” Enrique nods “Thanks we both really appreciate you coming guys, see you later”

Enrique cell phone rings its Murray his lawyer “Hey Murray any news?” Murray sighed “I have some news apparently Andres found out what adoption agency Olivia came from & started a conversation up with Jane, he was over in London & arranged a meeting with her, The question I had to ask straightaway was Olivia June`s in the first place or was it some sort of plot to hurt her?” Enrique says “No way, please tell me Olivia is June`s child Murray” Murray said “as far I can tell yes she is but the best way to sort it out would be to do a DNA test on June & Olivia” “Murray this couldn’t come at the worst possible time” Enrique explained everything Murray said “you can do this quite simply by getting Olivia to let you swab her mouth & as June is in Hospital you can ask June or get a nurse to ask her” Enrique takes a deep breath “I don’t think I could do that, it going to be bad enough doing this behind June`s back” Well, if you want to be 100% sure Olivia is June`s then you have to do it” Enrique sighs says “Ok leave it with me, when i get the swabs, what do you want me to do with them?” Murray replies “I`ll send someone over to you now with the equipment & it will get tested over night we should have an answer by this time tomorrow!”

About 20 minutes later a nurse comes in to my room says to Enrique “someone outside wants to see you” He walks out this guy says “Murray sent me says to give you these & you got to do the swabs then give them back to me” Enrique smiles says “give me a minute” He walks back in to my room He gets the swab as I`m still asleep he manages to do mine without me noticing, I did stir in my sleep as he used the swab. Olivia was next he got Olivia to open her mouth he went “shhhh” to her then went back to sleep. He gave the swabs back to the guy “you should know the results tomorrow!” walks off.

Enrique was worried sick he was hoping & praying that the results came back that Olivia was June`s daughter if not how would June take it, and who is Olivia???
