A fun but silly story...The last & final chapter is on page 478..updated 16th August 2012
Now i must explain first when i went to this concert i wasn’t a huge fan my friend Sophie asked if i would go and i said yes i`ll go, never seen him live i wasn’t that bothered who he was, i just love live music. We did make sure that Enrique`s greatest hits cd was playing all the way to Cardiff just so i didn’t look stupid ,but i knew all his songs anyway ,just never brought any of his albums. The only song i hadn’t listened to in a long time was “ hero “ and that song reminded me of my ex and every time it was played i use to turn the radio off! Too many memories , too hurtful to listen too.
So, we drive to Cardiff to watch Enrique in concert, it took us about 2 hours to get there traffic was good on this particular day thank god, when we arrived around 4pm it was a lovely sunny day.
We found somewhere to park quite easy right next to the Cardiff arena. We sat in the car wondering
what to do as we were so early, i said “well , we could walk into town go get something to eat, go shopping just to kill sometime then come back a little later on”.
We got out the car, we decided to check which way we had to go in to the arena we looked up & noticed a huge crowd had developed at the back of the arena, so went to see what all the fuss was about.Enrique had just arrived and he was running late as usual and i just saw the top of his hat, all these girls were screaming out his name to which i just laughed and shook my head, all of a sudden i heard some one call my name “June, June “over here i looked over by the barrier & noticed a guy waving at me, it was one of the Roadie`s that i knew called Jamie i knew Jamie from another gig he was doing ages ago. Jamie was 6ft with short Blonde hair not bad looking if i were honest.
He called me over & asked how i was, said i was fine said hello to my friend Sophie, i said to” Jamie what brings you here” he replied “the company i work for are doing the Enrique tour”, “wow that`s good for ya” i replied. Jamie then said to me “Are you still a keen photographer”
“yes i am why?” Looking really puzzled.
“Well Enrique`s resident photographer has had to go back home to Miami due to ill health & the management & Enrique are losing their minds because they desperately need someone to take photos for tonight`s gig & the rest of his tour”. I smiled & said “what has that got to do with me” acting a bit dumb and smiling at Jamie “well ,was wondering if your up to doing it i would have to go and speak to his people first” i blushed and i said “yeah would love too, but it wont Happen Jamie they wouldn’t want someone like me ,miss ordinary doing that sort of thing, he said “lets try yeah?”
I gave him my number & he said he would ring & let me know either way.
We walked off and Sophie was dead excited i said “don’t get your hopes up it aint going to happen lets walk in to town to get something to eat” by this time i was starving it was like 4.30pm we hadn’t eaten since 9am & that was at breakfast!
we got half way in to town when my phone rings its Jamie i gasp at Sophie, shaking i answered it & he said “where are you? Walking in to town why? “
“Well you better get your sorry little arse back here they want you to do some test shots of Enrique`s sound check & if your any good you`ve got the gig!!” I squealed with delight & went “nah Jamie your winding me up” he replied “i am not June, Enrique said he wanted to see what you were
made of! So, seriously get your arse back here now, but you have to be here
like now” he screamed. “Ok, ok” i said “we`re coming back right now but i warn you, you better not be winding me up Jamie! “I turned to Sophie & said “we`ve gotta go back they want me now!” smiling
really silly I said to Jamie “we`re be there in about 10 minutes”
I screamed, jumped up & down, said “we going to have to run back mate” she laughed & said “what in these heels” i said “yeah take them off “laughing.we ran as fast as we could back to the arena as it was getting late it was about 5.00pm and the doors were due to open at 6.30pm but Enrique hadn’t even done his sound check.
We got back to the arena and there was even more people waiting to see Enrique and as we were walking towards the barrier i heard some bloke say to these girls “oh they reckon they going to just walk up & go straight in” i smiled at the little cocky bloke as The security guy lifted the barrier up, i said “we`re here to see Jamie”, the guy look over at Jamie he gave The nod and the security guard let us through. The bloke blushed with embarrassment, i looked at him and laughed he put his head down because he knew how stupid he sounded, to be honest i don’t think he even knew we heard him say
what he did.
Jamie said “here your both going to need these access all areas passes” as we were walking into the venue, we put them over our heads so that the hung from out necks, so that they could be scanned each time we went anywhere.
“Sophie, your going to have to sit this one out i`m afraid your have to wait in the lounge room as Enrique doesn’t want anyone else in the arena apart from the Band, sound engineers & his management and of course June” Jamie smiled at this because he knew that this could be the best thing that has happened to me. It did make me blush that Enrique only wanted me in there with the others, and i thought, yeah right as if Enrique would even give me a second glance.
Jamie took me through and i remember thinking this is too good to be true someone pinch me please, my heart was beating so fast i was shaking, the palms of my hands were sweaty and my mouth was dry, Dave one of the sound guys introduced me to everyone he said “you can go anywhere you like,
where would you prefer to take your pix?” I said sheepishly ,”can i go on the cat walk?”
Dave replied “yes you can”, smiling at me there was some small steps leading to end of the catwalk & i decided i was going to sit crossed legged at the end to take some pix just take a few then go nearer once i plucked up the courage to do so...Id never seen Enrique in concert let alone met him & i never really been nervous when i have met famous people before,but this time “oh boy”
Enrique popped out from the side of the stage saw me sitting on the end of the catwalk & waved said
in to the microphone “Hey June, you ok?”
The house lights were up so he could see me clearly He looked so handsome and so tall id forgotten how tall he was. He was wearing his trade mark cap jeans, white hoodie with a scarf to keep his throat warm. I thought my heart was going to stop beating, I could feel it miss a beat when i saw him standing there smiling. I was looking up feeling myself blushing a lot i waved back & smiled thinking my god he looks even more handsome in the flesh.
The band starting playing ring my bells just as Enrique started walking towards me i was laughing to myself because i was so nervous, i could feel myself going red as he walked up to me smiling and singing “ring my bells” He stopped singing, the band continued to play.
He came right up to me sat down in front of me crossed his legs and our knees were touching each other, he said “you ok”? too which i replied “well err no, if i am honest i am shitting myself,” too which
he burst out laughing “hold your hands out “i put my camera down & i held my hands out he said “turn your hands, so your palms are facing the floor”, i looked at him he said “wow, you really are shitting yourself “ he said laughing at me “ your hands are shaking like mad, just like mine”
he started to laugh as he made his hands shake. I laugh at him thinking you silly sod but he put me at ease really quickly.
Enrique then said “bet your heart is beating real fast? “To that i answered “yes, it is “ took his right hand & placed it on my heart without even thinking where his hand was, he looked me right in the eye for a good few seconds smiled and then moved his hand away slowly, he was still smiling at this point. I thought how embarrassing was that, i mean, I don’t even know the guy really & go and do that to him, stupid, stupid i kept saying to myself.
I also remember thinking how beautiful his eyes were while he looking at me for that split moment,the skin on is hands was so soft. He then took hold of my camera & came right next me put his to head to my head & took a photo,” smile” he said as he was taking it.
He then got up ,extended his arms ,pulled me up said “bet your not nervous now are ya”
kissed me on both cheeks gave me hug and said “go for it June , take as many pix as you like, the more the better lets see how good u really are!! Put it this way if these photo`s don’t come out very good Jamie is going to be in big trouble” laughing.
I took about 50 photos of him doing the sound check he was running late as usual but he needed
to make sure everything was good to go for tonight`s gig, he finished & i said “Thanks Enrique” he said “No probs June i`ll take a look at them now if that`s ok? Yeah of course”, I took the memory card out the camera and gave it to him he said “do you mind waiting in the lounge room with the band? Just while i take a look at these with Fernando and we won`t keep you in suspense too long i promise you” he said smiling & he gave me a wink.
Went into the lounge room & my friend Sophie was talking
to Laura Jane they both asked how it went i said “ok i think, their looking at them now” i said nervously. Laura said “he will love them June trust me, Sophie has showed me some other photo`s that you have taken & you are really good June, Don`t put yourself down”, “cant help it “”i replied “just don’t think i am that good if i am totally honest with you” i snapped and i apologise for snapping but she understood how much this meant to me.
I smiled at her but i wasn’t convinced kept thinking he wasn’t going to like them & that they would be wasting their time testing me when they could have got a professional photographer in for one night.
About half an hour went past and i have to say it was the longest half hour of my life i was walking up & down the room thinking to myself he won`t like them, bet they turned out blurred. Everyone kept telling me sit down don’t worry, but i couldn’t i was worrying big time.
Then the door swings open i stop dead in my tracks, Fernando says “June, come with me”...Gulp i looked at everyone in the room they wished me luck. Enrique`s dressing room was at the end of the corridor my heart was beating so fast, i was so sure that Fernando could hear it going boom,
boom boom, Fernando knocked on Enrique`s door walked in & said to me “come in, sit down next to Enrique” i smiled and said “thanks” as i did Enrique kissed me again on the cheek & said “well
well well.”...............
I was really blushing at this point my heart was pounding, my hands a little sweaty, my mouth was so dry & i honestly thought i was going to cry.........

A Fun But Silly Story Part 2
Chapter 30
We pull up on to the drive Olivia comes running out she waits for me to open the door & she says “Mommy I have missed you so much” hugging me so tight, I bent down kissed her head before she runs off again. She runs round to see Enrique he was getting the bags out of the car squeezes him says “Daddy I missed you too” He smiles says “Both your Mommy & I really missed you” she takes his hand walks towards me & she takes my hand & all three of us walk inside the house. The dogs were quiet until they heard Enrique`s voice they went mad & barked like crazy.
May smiled as we walked in she said “need I ask if you had a nice time?” I smiled at her said “Fantastic May, to be honest I didn’t wanna come back, but we had no choice, everyone been behaving themselves?” She nodded said “Yeah all as good as gold, fancy a tea?” Hmm yes please May. Enrique was in the house 10 minutes when his cell phone rings “I have to take this June, Its Fernando” I smile shrug my shoulders.
May looked at me said “You don’t look very well?” I looked at May “I think I had too much Atlántico Rum last night, we had a drinking competition he beat me by one glass” May Laughed said “How many did you drink June?” I had 3 Enrique had 4!” she was laughing “God no wonder you feel a bit yucky, would you like some toast?” No!” I was laughing at her “Thanks though May I will wait until dinner, I am going upstairs see Ella & co & have a sleep” No problem June I`ll let Enrique know where you are!
I went upstairs to see Ella she was playing with Maria, Amber & Cruz were asleep, I stroke their heads, bend down & kiss them both on the forehead, I picked Ella up gave her a cuddle & a kiss & she laughed at me she pulled my nose as I was talking to her. I asked Maria “Have they all been really good?” She looked at me says “Honest, they haven’t been any trouble at all June, really good!” I smile & wave bye to Ella, I walk in to the bedroom unpack all the clothes, sit down on the bed Enrique walks up stands at the door leans against the door frame, looking at me “Hey you ok babe?” I look at him & I smile” Yeah” I replied “It`s nice so nice to be back, but I do wish it was just me & you again” He walks over to me kneels down takes my hands says “So, do I June, but we do have the best family you know!” he kisses me on the lips smiles at me & I hug him tight.
May called us both about 6pm for some dinner we walked downstairs holding hands, sat down to have Dinner Ella was at the table with us Maria was going to feed her Enrique sat down next to her, he leaned in to her kissed her on the cheek & she laughs at him, I looked over at them & that melted my heart.
After dinner I sat in the lounge with Amber feeding her when Enrique walks in says “Hey, you know you still don’t look well June” I laugh at him “Honestly I am fine really”. I sorted Amber out she went back to sleep, I started to feel a bit strange I ran to the bathroom & to be sick, Enrique walks in to the bedroom hears me in the bathroom runs in says “oh god you ok?” I looked at him said “I am now as i was flushing the toilet he got me a drink to wash out my mouth “Are you sure babe?” I`ll be fine honest” He took my hand & he said “Right lay on the bed sleep it off might help you feel better” I lay on the bed fully clothed & he lay on the bed with me cuddling right close to me.
A few hours later I wake up look around me checked out the time It was 9pm I went downstairs & Maria said “Enrique has took the dogs for a walk June, he hasn’t been gone long you can catch him up” I smile “sounds like a good idea do you mind?” She shook her head “Not at all I love looking after these, they`re great!” I smiled said “wont be long, did he take his mobile with him” she nodded. I headed out towards the beach it was a lovely evening for a walk, just a gentle breeze blowing, the Ocean was calm but looked so inviting, I was walking along on the sand when I had these enormous pain in my stomach, I rolled my body down to ease the pain, it went as quickly as it arrived carried on walking when this time the pain was much more intense I fell over doubled in pain, I scream out but there wasn’t anybody around to hear me!
Enrique went back to the house around 9.45 said to Maria “Has June woken up yet?” She looked puzzled said “yeah, she`s gone for a walk she said she was going to try & catch you up” He looked at his cell phone “Damn it, I went a different way tonight, I will have to try & find her, did she take her Cell phone do you know?” Maria shook her head said “No idea but she asked if you took yours” He rang the mobile phone but he heard it was over in the lounge, “ok Maria well I`ll go & find her she can`t be far away”
As I am unconscious in the sand some guys walked passed me kicked sand over me laughing saying “Oh look at her drunk in the sand” kicked some more sand over me & walked off roaring with laughter. Enrique was looking everywhere for me, he was getting worried now as he couldn’t find me anywhere, meanwhile the Police were doing a routine check on the area when they noticed something, some yobs kicking sand at someone, they walked over towards me rolled me over trying to wake me up they couldn’t so they called for the paramedics. “I cannot smell alcohol on her”, he felt for my pulse but it was very faint, the paramedics arrived within 10 minutes the police explained what they saw etc, they said “we need to get her to hospital now they put me in the ambulance & sped off to the closest hospital. Enrique saw the ambulance speeding off saw the police there thought “I`ll ask them if they had seen June” He walks over to them one officer recognises Enrique straight away “Hey Man” he shook their hands said “I `m looking for my wife June, she has come for a walk cant find her” The officers looked at one another one asked “What she wearing, we may have seen her?” Enrique replies with “Black shorts & white t-shirt” The officers look at him saying “you better come with us” Enrique looked at them said “why, what`s up you gotta tell me!” one officers says “we saw some yobs on the beach kicking sand on someone lying on the beach, when we had a closer look we noticed they were unconscious, pulse was very faint, we think it might be your wife June, as the person was wearing the same colour clothes as you described plus same hair colour etc” Enrique pulled off his hat putting his hands through his hair said pretty frantically “lets go then”
They speed off to the hospital They rush in to the Emergency dept where one of the officers explained everything, the nurse said “I will need to check if they came to this hospital” The officer said “we rang checked which hospital they were coming to they told us this one” Enrique was pacing up & down said “look please hurry up I need to know if she is ok!” The nurse looked said “yes, they have only just arrived I will see what is going on!” Meanwhile Enrique calls Carlos “Hey man did you have a fab time away?” Yeah, but something has happened to June” he explained everything to happened to me “I`m on my way” The nurse comes back says to Enrique you can go & see her if you like the Doctor is waiting for you” she took him in to the room to me & he walks in I am wired up to a machine have a drip in my hand “oh my god you ok?” He hugs me tightly & kisses me as he says to the doctor “what is wrong with her?” The doctor sighs “we don’t know yet, we `re doing some tests to find out what`s wrong, & what caused June to collapse” “June, what happened babe?” I look at him shake my head said “No idea, all i remember is having a huge pain in my stomach & I don’t remember anymore” he holds my hand tightly says to the doctor “June was sick earlier if that helps you?” He sighs says “well, that is helpful we think she has appendicitis but with more tests we won`t really know!”
Enrique says “How do you feel now?” I turn my head on the pillow look at him, with tears in my eyes” better, but scared” he smiles “we`re get to the bottom of this don`t you worry, I am just going outside I called Carlos earlier wanna check to see if he has arrived!” He kissed me on the lips & off he went to look for Carlos, I knew he was going to find the Doctor “Excuse me! is there anything you can tell me” He looks at Enrique says “Well I am a bit worried as we can`t find out what`s wrong with her, her stomach is very tender, I will try & organise a sonogram see if we can see anything but it might take some time to sort it” Enrique looks at him smiles pats the guy on the shoulder says “Thanks”, he walks off & wasn’t looking where he was going & bumps right in to Carlos “Hey sorry didn’t see you” Carlos & Enrique have a man hug Carlos says “so, what happened to June is she ok???” Enrique sighs says “Lets get a drink, I`ll explain all along the way”
While Enrique is away I am doubled over in pain again & I press the button for help, The nurse rushes in as i scream out “ok June just got to get the doctor” She rushes out grabs the doctor they both rush in the doctor see`s how much pain I`m in says “June, can you tell me where the pain is?” I point to the right hand side of my stomach the doctor says “right we`re give you some pain killers try & help to ease the pain for you” Enrique rushes in as he heard I was bad again He grabs my hand “oh baby I am sorry for leaving you” The doctor gives me some pain relief & asks to speak to Enrique outside, I sat there worried sick as to what is wrong with me & the doctor taking Enrique out the room worried me even more!
The Doctor says “I may have to operate I don’t think its her appendix as normally with appendix the pain is on the opposite side, in June`s case the pain is on the same side as her appendix, I am going to wait for confirmation & I will let you know!” Enrique says “Thanks” he grabs Carlos says to Carlos “could you ring the house & let May & Maria know where we are its gone 11 now & May will be totally freaking out” Carlos nods to his friend leave it with me & I`ll sort it all out for you Dude”
Enrique walks back to see me I smile at him said “I need to use the bathroom would you help me” He says “sure” He pulls back the sheets as he does he see`s Blood on my gown he shouts the doctor, I am screaming & crying because of the blood that I can see, they rush in the doctor says “Right we need to do emergency surgery” I am whisked away & Enrique comes with me as I am crying he holding my hand saying “don’t worry baby it`ll be alright” they get to the operating Room & they say “this is as far as you can go you can wait over there!” He kisses me says see you soon baby, your in good hands” I turn my head so I can see him one last time & the tears start to trickle down my face, the nurse says “June, it`ll be ok, we`re sort you out”
Carlos meets Enrique downstairs says “what happened?” Enrique sits down take a deep breath says “I went back to see June, she said she really needed to use the bathroom, & would I help her out of bed, I pulled the sheets back & there was quite a bit of Blood!” “Oh god man what did the doctor say?” he bent his body down puts his head in his hands says “That`s the trouble they do not know, they wont know until they do some sort of test in there”
He stands up walks around for a bit meanwhile Carlos gets them both a coffee he comes back just as the doctor is coming out of the Operating Room, he looks at Enrique says “June has lost a lot of bloody we`ve had a look & it looks like she is having an ectopic pregnancy Enrique looks says “I`ve heard of it but what happens now, well we will need to operate to get the Egg out because if we don’t June could die!” “He sits down says “oh my god” Places his head in his hands “Right, now I need to get back, but you really needed to know how serious this is, the nurse here will answer any questions you might have?”
The doctor rushes back in Enrique looks at Carlos says “I can`t lose her Carlos I cant, what would I do with out her she is my life?” he had tears pouring down his face the nurse says “Look she has the best Doctor in there June will be fine” Enrique says “Does this mean she will never have children again?” She kind of half smiles says “it depends, if her tubes are badly damaged, they will do all they can in there”
Enrique says “Carlos She has to be ok, she just has to be I love her so much nothing can happen to her, I won`t let it, I wont” he burst in to tears at the thought he might loose me.
