Atlantic City - 2/12

Wow... where do I even begin about the show in Atlantic City. It was really GREAT! The show did start and hour late but the wait was so worth it and I forgot all about it as soon as Enrique got on stage and said - "I know you want me..." 

I got general admission to this show and also the VIP pass despite all the reviews about it here. Thanks Laura for sharing with me your own VIP experience and for the pointers! It worked great for me! :) I was literally standing in front of the ramp which was amazing. I got to give him a couple hi-fives, fist pump and at one point even cling on to his legs!

My journey to the concert began early Saturday morning at 5:30AM from Cambridge, MA - after 6 hours of driving - almost 7 (I was stuck in this horrendous traffic when passing by NY ugghh!!!). My friend and I quickly grabbed something to eat as soon as we got to AC - it was almost 2 then. After than we made our way straight to Borgata and got our pink wrist bands. There already was a line outside the doors and it was only 4pm! I saw Linda from the website and said hi and talked a little. It was nice meeting you Linda! Did you get a good place to stand? I did look around for you but didn't see you. I'm sure you had a blast! :)

The show started off with Tonight and ended with I Like It. The security guard in front of me had a copy of the playlist which I took a picture of I'll upload the pictures and videos later on in the day. I'm still a bit tired from all the driving! All the driving was definitely tiring but sooooo worth it. Enrique had an amazing energy throughout the concert like always! He's the best! Towards the middle of the second song - Heartbeat - they put the light on the back so when I turned around I saw Anna! I was like sooo happy to see her too - just to see her be there support and cheer on Enrique! :)

He picked up two guys on stage and their companions also got to make it to the stage! Aahhhhh sooo lucky. One of the girls on stage was Russian and he asked "Are you Russian? You look like my girl" something like that... they were taking shots and pictures - I have the whole thing on video. One of the guys on stage was wicked nervous lol and EI was like here drink this and he had like 3 shots and for the last shot the guy asked EI for a body shot and Enrique got on the floor lifted his shirt a little and the guy took a shot - OMG sooo lucky!!! We were also lucky as we got a glimpse of his chiseled abs! ;) The guy also sang the verse of I like it after all the shots :) 

The Hero experience was very different - we were all waiting for him up front but then he showed up at the back - where Anna, Zach and all were with the controls - I'm not sure what happened he pulled a girl on stage and I think her guy proposed to her and Enrique was like that's not how you do it and the guy got to get up on stage too and he got down on one bended knee and asked "Will you marry me?" Enrique was like "Jesus... wait you gotta give like a speech and shit... that's the shortest shit I've ever seen - you wanna marry me? what if she's between yes & no" LOL he was sooo funny he got out from the limelight and let them have their moment. He was like "I'm not a wedding singer but tonight I'll be a wedding singer for you guys -  I'll sing this for you guys - your pre-wedding dance" and then he started off with Hero. It was great!

After singing I like it - the last song for the night - he left the stage but people on the floor didn't even move for like 15 minutes- we wanted more! We shouted - "one more! one more" but he was gone :( 

The security guy in front of me was like - "he's not coming go home!!" since he was standing right in front of me throughout the concert I kept shoving him to the side so I could see Enrique lol But he was nice he would just bend down or go to the side... I asked him for water later on and he was like "no! you've pushed me around the whole time!!!" lol but he did end up giving me two bottles :) I met him again outside the meet & greet area and he was like "YOU! again!!!" haha

So the meet & greet... despite all the negative feedbacks I must say my experience was an AWESOME one! Awesome is an understatement it was an out-of this-world experience. Before the concert we were asked to meet at a certain location and then taken to a room where we got appetizers and there was a cash bar too. Justin - the guy from Ground Control (the company that organized the VIP meet & greet) was a really amazing. So calm, nice and funny. He did tell us "there are 2 rules to the meet & greet: (1) No asking for autographs (2) No taking pictures with your camera when you're up front" something like that. I had a huge pic of Enrique (11x14) on which I wanted an autograph so every time Justin went around and asked "what's rule #1?" I'd say - I don't know! lol The meet & greet was great - there was a technical glitch - the camera's flash was out of batteries so we had to take pictures with our own camera! Thank god I had a good one. Because that would really stink!!! I saw some people take pictures with only their balckberry and phones. Also I went last hoping to get the most time - I didn't get a whole lot of time but I think I got a fair share! Also, I was the last one only from the VIP group there were lots more people in line behind me! I was like "where did they come from?!?!" since at the pre-concert meet and greet there were only 12 of us... When it was my turn to go up front I was nervous and my hands were cold as ice but as soon as he said "hi!" I just jumped and hugged him hahahaha he was laughing and he gave me a kiss and he was like "turn around let's take a picture" OMG it was amazing. Then I pulled out the picture I wanted his autograph on and he was sooo willing to do it he asked me my name and signed the picture for me - I pulled out my license so he could write my name - he saw the MA license and was like "who did you come with?" he asked me "are you filipino?" "I'm from Nepal" i said and he pointed towards a guy in the room and was like "he's Nepalese too" lol we joked around a little then the security guy was like "PLEASEEE LEAVEEEEE!" he was like trying to push me out ahahhahaha but before I did I hugged Enrique again he gave me a kiss again. When I was almost at the door he shouted out "Byeee'" he was sooo niceeeee! To sum it all up - best night of my life! Pictures and videos to come later today! :) 

I met some fans at the pre-meet & greet and all were so nicee... I remember Jessica Marie in particular since we talked the most and also went and bought EI's merchandise - I got the men's hoodie in small - it's a bit large on me but I love it - it was a bit pricey - $50!
