I just got a text from a dancer friend of mine that she will be dancing with E tomorrow.  She's freaking.

hm there was a same anouncement last year about him performing in american idol but he never did.. or did he??

I believe he definitely was going to perform on last years AI finale since the info came from the ad for I Like It on mediabase which wouldn't make that up.

 

A few articles mentioned that a male singer had to drop out because they couldn't make their performance work. I know that Christina Aguilera was asked to perform a song other than her then current single since they probably didn't think it was suitable for the show, I'm betting they asked Enrique to do the same but since it would have been the premier for I Like It Enrique's people decided it had to be that or nothing. That's guess work but it would make sense/
