Just a few questions if anyone can help me out here -
1- What season (weather) will it be in Madrid in May???
2- Will I need to buy a translation book?? or is the English language used often?? (My biggest worry)
3- Does anyone know of the names of hotels very close to where Enrique is performing???
4- What are the best tourism area's to visit???
Feel free to add more information that I may need to know or would be good to know!!

Hi Jennifer – May is early summer in Madrid – the days should be warm and sunny, evenings may be cool so take some jumpers/cardigans etc. Its not settled summertime so we could be unlucky and get rain! It may be useful to take a translation book – a lot of the Spanish do speak English but certainly not everywhere! The closest hotel is The Convencion – right by the arena – its on all the booking sites or they have a direct website. I haven’t been to Madrid to advise tourism areas but I have googled things to do and there is apparently a good market on Sunday mornings, good shopping districts and lots of art galleries - plenty to do! Where are you travelling from? Hope this helps!!!

I'm travellig from Sydney, Australia!! - Thanks for your help - I think I will take some summer clothes, some jeans & a couple of hoodies, Sandles, joggers & boots - Sounds a lot but I will try & make my bag as light as possible..lol
I have bought my Concert ticket, just waiting on it to arrive in the post!!
Just now booked my hotel room which is about 5 minutes from the arena!!
Tomorrow I will book my flight!!
I am exausted already just from all the searching and enquiries I have made over the past few days just trying to sort it all out to fit my dates ....It was so much easier when I was booking to go to America a few years back..Anyway, it's all done except for the flight now. : ))

Wow, bet your so excited. All the way from Australia, you'll have a fab time. I've never been to Madrid but have visited Spain many times and never had any problem with language, they all speak English (well I know it wont be all but it seems that way). Soooooo wish I could go, I think it will be really special :)

Thanx Jacqui - I am very excited not only to be going to EI's concert but very much looking forward to seeing as much as I can of Madrid while there - This will most likely be my last trip for a while so will try and make the most of it - It's a relief to know the English language is used a lot - I was worried I might get lost in a city that Spanish residents had no Idea what I was saying or me them .. lol
