MY AMAZING MONTE CARLO ADVENTURE!!!!!!

As some of you know I booked to go and see Enrique in Monte Carlo at the Summer Sporting Festival on Saturday 7th July so here is, as promised some details on my amazing trip!!!!!!!!!

On Friday 6th July I got up really excited and got my taxi to Gatwick Airport, my flight was 1.45pm so I went really early, always worry I will be late and miss the flight!!!!!!  I can’t relax until I am safely on the aircraft!!!!

I landed in Nice around 5.30 and as I came out of arrivals I saw the taxi driver waiting with my name on a board, then off to the Hotel, which took around 45 mins  to get there, finally arrived at my Hotel, which was basic, but clean and comfortable.   I then had a shower and decided to go out and I looked around Monte Carlo!!!!! I found a place to eat near to the Marina, where I had pizza!!!! And then the next thing was to try and find my way back to the Hotel, and me being the worst ever at directions had trouble finding it again, after asking loads of people, I eventually found it after nearly 2 hours of searching…lol.  I have never been so relieved to find somewhere in my life, as thought I would be on the street all night!!!!!  I slept really well I was sooooo tired!!!!!!

 

DAY 2 – SATURDAY – CONCERT DAY!!!!!!!!!

I got up had breakfast at the hotel and then another day off looking around and doing some relaxing, I walked in to Casino Square which was about 10 mins walk from where I was staying, I then spent a few hours there and had a giant ice cream!!!!!!!!  When it got to about 4 O’clock I decided to head back to the Hotel, hoping I would find it quicker than I had the night before!!!!!!  Luckily I found it this time!!!!!!!!  I went up and showered got changed and got myself ready to meet Laura and Val, two other fans who I had arranged to meet, I ordered a taxi from my hotel and arrived at the one they were staying at, but I was there really early, so I decided to ask someone who worked there where the venue was and they showed me, so I waited there for a while, hoping I may see Enrique arrive!!!!!

I spoke to a lady there, that was part of his team and she very kindly told me it was possible he may be called if there was a problem with the sound, but otherwise he wouldn’t be there until about 10pm.  So by this time it was 7.15 and I was due to meet Laura and Val at 7, I was late!!!!!  I sent a text to say I was on my way!!!  We met in the bar and had a cocktail before heading back to the venue!  It was an incredible place, even had the roof down, so you could see the night sky, such a wonderful atmosphere, all the tables were laid out and we were shown to our table, it wasn’t  that near to the front, but had a really good view of the stage.  We ordered our drinks and then the meal came, which was really lovely, I just managed to eat my starter and main course, then I looked at my watch and it was just after 10, so I went outside, to try and catch Enrique as he went in, I waited outside for about 15 mins and then his car arrived!!!!!, he jumped out of the car the other side and started to hurry in, I just called out his name and said “Can I give you this”, which was my card and a little present I had got for him, he said “ I am late” and I replied “ I know you are’!!!!!!  but he came over and took the bag and I said “take care” and he was gone!!!!! I was sooooo lucky I just caught him and I soooo appreciate that he kindly stopped to take it, I would have loved to have been able to talk for a few more seconds and to be able give him a little message from another very special fan that I have been so lucky to have met several times before, but there was just no time at all.

 

I headed back inside and my dessert was waiting there on the table, but I was too excited to be able to eat much of that…lol.  Then the show started!!!!!!! And Enrique came out on stage, it was truly amazing!!!!!!!!   A little later on we started  to work our way nearer  to the front, and I managed to get right to the stage towards the end of the show, but got pushed a few times by security, and I think a few people were annoyed with me, I got told off several  times, but I was in a total dream and just stayed there in front of the stage.  After a while a couple of children got up on stage and then I could see the stage was lower than normal, so I went for it!!!!!!!!!!!  I climbed up and went running up to Enrique, tried to give him a hug and then other’s followed me up there!!!!  After that I was in a world of my own…lol.  and didn’t really take it all in properly, I remember saying Hi to Alex and introducing myself to him, he was really lovely and friendly, and also said hello to Joe,  I wanted to speak to Laura, but when I looked for  her, I think she had gone and we were then told to leave the stage!!!!!   What a night!!!!!!!!!!!  

Thank you Laura and Val for your company on the night, it was lovely to meet you both, sorry if I was a bit over the top and hope I didn’t show you both up too much, I forget how old I am, when  Enrique is around and I am sorry to you too Enrique for my crazy behaviour when climbing up on stage and running over to you!!!!!!  But Thank you soooo much Enrique for your amazing show and giving me the chance to visit Monte Carlo, which I would have never done if it wasn’t for you!!!!!!  Now I want to save my money for the next adventure, hopefully in the UK again!!!!!!!!!    I have posted a few pictures for you all to see, if you haven’t already fallen asleep from reading my long essay….LOL.

Auw, what a lovely story mi hija ! I just love it ! And good for you that you went up stage ! Looking by his face on this picture he didn't mind at all ! On the contrary he laughed and even raised his arm to hug you ! Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh ! LOL ! I bet you had the time of your life hu ? And so you should :o) !

And how sweet that he took the time to stop outside and take your card and present. Shows again what a sweetheart he is hu ? I would say : mission accomplished ! Hi hi hi !

Aaaaw thanks Madre!  Yes, mission definitely accomplished!!!!!!!!! It was all sooooo amazing, I still can't believe I did that..LOL.

Just wish I could take things in better at the time, but I got sooooo carried away with it all and went into mega dream world!!!!!!

Oh yes it was so sweet of Enrique to stop quick and take the gift, even though he was in such a hurry, so happy and grateful that he did!!!! :)

 

PED is setting in already:(  now I can't wait until we all get to see him again sometime soon when he comes back to Europe!!!!!!!! :) xx

Awww Nicola fab story hun....we all go crazy around Enrique, your photo`s are sooo close you can actually see how long his beard is lol....Thanks for sharing your time & your story with us....wish I had been able to go now :-(

It was amazing, so wish you could have been there too, but next time!!!!!!!!!! maybe you could help to keep me more under control...LOL.  

Yes, some pics were very close, my camera couldn't handle it!!!!!!!  a lot of the pics were out of focus, not sure if it was me or ther camera!!!!

Thanks Trudie!  I am still in a dream and can't think of anything else at the moment!!!!!  Concentrating at work is impossible!!!!!!

I am so glad I decided to go to Monte Carlo and feel lucky that I had this amazing experience, now trying to come back to earth...LOL.

Ha ha, well just a little late!!!! but then I am a one to talk!!!! I usually turn up late everywhere myself, unless it is to see Enrique, then there is no stopping me and I am always early!!!!!!!

I saw the stage was lower than normal, and thought shall I or not, then I just went for it!!!!!!!!   x
