It's such a sweet, innocent song, I hope they don't go naked with it.  If it reminds Enrique of when he wad a kid, why on earth would they go naked with it??  I'm just sayin'.....

I was thinking the same thing Tracey...I suppose he doesn't have total creative control on the making of the video since it was co-written by Sammy Adams and they are on different record labels.  Just another reason why Enrique should do some solo singles IMO.

But also the art directors usually have a strong say in what's gonna be the idea. I don't know from music videos, but I do know commercial shooting and advertising. And Enrique once said he doesn't have a say in who's in his videos or not.

I agree with both of you, naked bodies don't go with this song. That is: until you listen to the rap-part. LOL

I am just waiting for a nice video that does justice to Enrique's saying it reminds him of when he was a kid. And a lot of Enrique in it, please, for us to look at. Ahhh! LOL

To me it seems he does have a say about what goes on in his videos..I think he gets to choose the directors and also the creative concept- most of the times various ideas (called treatments) are sent to him before they go off shooting..about who is in his videos..in the past it might have occurred that certain people were suggested to him, but he always has to approve them, since he will also be filming with them..

 

Kerri, ofcourse I'm not sure but I don't think he would not have control over this because he did not entirely write the song (in fact Sammy Adams only wrote his eight lines in there it seems)..there have been lots of his songs written by other people as well but still as it being Enrique's song in the end he got to have a huge part in deciding about the music video..

I think Sammy actually had the song written and Enrique took it and added his own touch to it..there are three co-writers listed...Jacob Luttrell, Sammy Adams, Enrique Iglesias and then here is an article about an interview with Sammy that should clear it up:

Thanks Kerri, that's what I had read about the song.  I couldn't remember where I had read it.  So Enrique listened to it, liked it and put his Enrique-esque touches on it, which will make it a hit, of course.  Yeah!

The video would be best shared with both of them in it.  Two very handsome ones, of course E trumps Sammy; it can't be helped.  Lol.

"E trumps Sammy, it cant be helped"...hahaha!!  So, so true!  Also I think Enrique is a fair person and knowing it was originally Sammy's song, I think he would want to make sure the video included him.

Silentocean is right .. I've heard him say in the past too that he approves who's in the video. I believe he's a lot more in control with everything else that comes with the music business, than most artist are.
