THIS IS MY STORY, WHAT'S YOURS??
Hello everybody!!
As some of you already know, I've been a member of Enrique Iglesias's Site, for a loooong time, but it was until I shared with you guys my experience of KISSING HIM!! (sigh...) that I started being more active in the Discussion Forum, and I'm loooooving it!! (seriously, this is addictive) lol!!
For this reason, I would like to know a little more about you all. For what I can read, a lot of you allready know some others!!
I can see that there are members from all around the world, this is just too cool!!
If you want to share with me, where are you from? what do you do? how did you meet Enrique and his music? anything you want to share, I'm all ears!!
I love the idea of meeting new people, all in common for one HUGE reason: ENRIQUE IGLESIAS!!!
So, here's my story:
My name is Rita Benavente, I live in Guadalajara, Mexico.
I'm 27 years old, and I've followed Enrique Iglesias since I was 12!!! (1995, his first album) I totally remember the day I bought Enrique's first CD. As I walked to pay for it, I just couldn't stop staring at his picture... literally, it was love at first sight!! And when I listened it, oooohhhh goshh... that was the begining of all this!!! I love his music, it's been with me like forever, through good and bad times, always there!! If I hear any of Enrique's songs, I can go back in time to a certain moment in my life, and brings soooooo good memories!!
Everytime I go to one of Enrique's concerts, is such big deal!! I start counting days, sleeping less, it's just getting prepared for a very important day!! (I bet all of you understand this). And in this last show, on February 25th, 2011, that I had the opportunity to meet him, really was a dream come true. C'mon meeting him, and kissing him on the same day, whoooow!! I admire him, not only as an artist, but as a person!! he is the BEST!!
I can't wait to see him again, and to share pictures, information and all kind of stuff with all of you!!

Nice meeting you too Rita! Love to be here too and share stories and make lots of new friends! And its even nicer if you have the possibility to meet those fanfriends in person...:)
And dont worry, my friends who met him in person tell me all the time: Enrique recognizes you for sure if you have met him before, he has the memory of an elephant..LOL :)
Yes, I know, three concerts in a week is kind off a ridiculous luxury, but hey, you have to grab your chance if it comes your way.... Maybe some more concerts are going to be added to my list for this year....and ofcourse I will share all those happy moments with my extended Enrique family over here...

My Story...
I've only been a fan for about a year and a half, but honestly, what did I listen to before Enrique????? I first saw him on (yes, I know this is corny!) the dvd extras for the movie Wild Wild West, I saw the Bailamos music video. I'd heard the song before (as I had Hero, Don't turn off the lights, and Somebodys me, though I didn't realize who it was). I remember thinking that "Wow, I really, really like this song! And he is kind of cute, too!" So, I went to the library to see if they had any EI cds. Quizas was my first one, and even though I don't speak ANY spanish, it was one of those that I sat down and literally put it on repeat the first time I listened to it. That has never happened to me before. At first I was a tad creeped out by the liner pictures, but then a few days later I remember writing in my journal that "I kind of think EI is really hot!".
EI's early work is still my favorite...I can't get enough of his Escape album! Of course I like Euphoria, but Bailamos and his early work will always hold a spot in my heart...forever! ENNRIQUE IGLESIAS FOREVER!!!!!!
And I still haven't seen him in concert. Quite frankly, I don't think I could handle it...I would probably faint or make a complete idiot of myself!!!!

Talking about Wild Wild West... I was soooo excited, cause in the movie, the girl's name was Rita!! so I thought, well, at least Enrique has heard my name hahaha!!
I've been a HUGE fan for a loooong time! and my favorite song EVER is Nunca Te Olvidare, have you heard it?? It's just GREAAAAT!!
I had the opportunity to met him last February, and I got to KISS HIM!! I have to accept... It was hard to handle it, and not to faint, but I did it!! You can read my whole experience in another discussion named I KISSED EI, AND I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!! I added a picture and a video, whooooow, soooo cool!!

Hello Rita!...my name is Wanda and I am 61 years old. I live in Austin, Texas and I am an Enrique-holic!...lol!....
wow!...good for you! Meeting Enrique and then a big kiss all in one night!!!!!...well, you've come to the right place to share your story!....Trust me! I have MANY memories but no time to tell it right now. However, I do have a brief version on my page in my blog but when I have time I will share a little at a time once again.
Although I love Enrique with all my heart and soul, my only regret is not having been a fan since he first came out with his first CD, but that is only because I didnt know who he was until 2002!...shame! shame!...however, I did make up for lost time and there is no turning back.

Hello Rita, my name is Arlene. I am 38 years old and am from Scotland in the United Kingdom. I have been a member on Enrique's website since July 2007.
I am going to see him in concert when he tours Glasgow on June 11th! I truly cannot wait. His voice does unexplainable things to me.. I just love him to the ends of this earth.

Me too, Arlene!.....the love I feel for Enrique cannot be explained in words alone---just feelings....and lots of them!....all kinds of emotions as well!.....OMG!...everyone is saying everything that I feel....Loving Enrique is truly a blessing for all of us through both the good times and the bad times and he never lets us down. Whenever I am sad, all I have to do is put on a funny interview of his and a smile immediately forms on my face!...Enrique is truly amazing how he effects all of us....siiigh!
