Tribute for Molly from Birmingham
I thought I would post a sort of tribute here for sweet little Molly Ollerenshaw, the 8 year girl that Enrique brought on stage in March at his concert in Birmingham. Many of you have seen the video, it was extremely touching.
Sadly, Molly passed away June 14th. Molly had Wilms tumor, a cancer and had been diagnosed in 2006. She was already a little celebrity at age 7 when she was the voice in an animated movie called One of a Kind, a film which prepared children for radiotherapy. Such a brave little soul for her young age.
I wanted to mention that I attended that particular concert and was backstage when Enrique spent time with the 2 girls....it was an honor for me to be there to witness and Molly was all smiles and giggles with Enrique, who was just amazing with them. When he brought them on stage, Molly was glowing all over, just full of smiles. Her mother later said that the following day at school they were like little celebrities. Enrique made sure he gave them a special night to remember, with lots of love, care and attention. When he sang Stand By Me to them, there was not a dry eye around me. It was one of the most emotional and memorable moments for me. Thank you Enrique for giving Molly that special night, for showing her so much love and bringing her much joy and happiness.....and a very special thanks to you Molly, for touching our hearts like you did and showing the world your precious and beautiful little soul.....the world has lost a special girl, may you rest in peace sweet one, you will not be forgotten.

Thanks for bumping this Joanne. A very sad day, but a chance to remember a very special girl and reflect on all that is important in life. I watch that video quite frequently and it always brings tears to my eyes. Sweet Molly will surely always be remembered. Rest in peace sweet one and prayers and love to her family and friends.

My heart still goes out to her family. Nothing can be worse than losing a child. But yes, she is now among angels.

You truly die when you're forgotten.
We will always remember Molly, this sweet little angel. And all the other kids that died way before their time. I think of one little girl that you told me about, Tracey, she comes back to my mind every now and then. Bless them both!

So glad this was bumped..when I think of the heart here it is amazing..and the heart in E and so many of his songs. Seems we get a good mix of just plain fun and a lot of heart with this place and celebrating Enrique, his music, so much of the real concerts for folks who need to remember and for folks whom it is really hard to be able to go..whether financial, country they live in less likely to have..what ever..we have all learned we love so many here and we are always so happy for anyone who gets to go and feel E for those especially...who can not..whatever the situation...we keep sharing memories and concert pieces and this one of Molly fed us all deeply. We were all so happy Molly could go and have this experience pronto!!
I bet E will one day do some live stream concerts once in awhile or something...especially for those who can't get there..wouldn't that be cool..something will work out..he knows how much he is loved and tries to give it back as personally as possible...oh this sweet Molly..what a lesson her short life was..and i just know she is receiving our love in her heavenly life and gratitude for so many lessons on the gift of life,,,.May her parents aND FAMILY find comfort and a way to move forward ..
Molly's life and Jennifer's dear sharing of Enrique and how much he meant to her brought me a dear dear friend..her sharing all her wonderful majorly earned Euphoria adventure and all about E in her life was soo deep a memory I treasure. And this night was so emotional..i got a deeply sweet overseas call about this...I heard my friend's wonderful voice for the first time after this night...

So very true sis....all of what you said. ;) Never in a million years would I have ever thought this site would have brought as much to my life as it has.....beautiful friendships, opportunities and special moments and memories, like Molly, to cherish and enjoy. I wonder if Enrique realizes how much he has changed so many of our lives....through his music, his website, the friendships that have evolved, through his caring and giving nature. So glad Molly had that night, and so glad we all were able to share it too. That beautiful memory will always stay with me. And yes, that special night ended with a call to a special friend :) xo xo

Big Hug...just love his heart and knowing it more form your big adventure..and he will always be alive and more real to me now with here and ..all the music with that real concert you encouraged me go to...much much love..I think he knows..it's more than the "big kiss"...that he sometimes signs or gives to his fans...and everyday we can play..Everythings gonna be alright...
Must see movie along that all will be well theme...The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel..made me thrilled and happy to be in the game of life tonight....

I watched behind the music again yesterday i had tears in my eyes watching the footage from the Birmingham show i thought wow she had an amazing night with Enrique... And I am so glad i was there to see that happen
Your also spot on the friendships that we have all found through Enrique.....his wonderful kind friendly nature is awesome...and i am proud to say i am a fan of his... R.I.P Molly we all think about you alot

This is truly incredible no celeb in the whole wild god dam universe can compare to enrique iglesias kindness and love... Look at this, this just proves what a beautiful human being he is.....
