New single "Finally Found You" available on iTunes.
Sometimes I will admit that doing what is good for you and being inspired to keep it up, can be tough. Starting a work out regiment can be tough too. I have been there. Finding a few minutes in a day for yourself to get your heart rate up can be difficult too. What I have come to realize is that making a small commitment to yourself goes a long way. Finding even 20 minutes to take a brisk walk, hop on a treadmill or another type of activity that you might enjoy will make you feel better. It really does.
So I thought I would share a couple of ways I work out with Enrique. I try to use the slower beats to begin for a warm up and to end in a cool down. He sounds great in an MP3 player, singing right in your ears. I always think music, especially his, sounds great. You may end up hearing subtle things you hadn't recognized before. And even smiling while you work out. Who could imagine? Lol.
For beginners, you can start with about 20 minutes. It isn't a huge time commitment. Here's my favorite 20 minute (okay, a little more) workout song list:
Ring My Bells 3:55
Tired of Being Sorry 4:01
I Will Survive 3:43
You Rock Me 3:44
Tonight (pick your most inspiring version) 3:52
Free 4:38
As you gain strength and endurance you can take that list and add a song that inspires you. This will you will have music your whole work out. My longer work out list is this one:
Lloro Por Ti (I like the Wisin and Yandel Enrique version) 4:19
Takin Back My Love 3:50
Bailimos 3:32
I Like It 3:52
Dirty Dancer 3:32
Everything's Gonna Be Alright 3:48
I Like How It Feels 3:39
Tired of Being Sorry 4:01
The Way You Touch Me 3:51
Escape 3:29
Do You Know 3:28
Roamer 3:57
Live versions of some of these can be great too, if you have them. He is particularly engaging in concert clips.
And remember, if you aren't an active person, that's okay. Everybody starts somewhere, just do what you can. Working out with Enrique is fun. You might find you actually look forward to that time and you'll like how it feels!
Good Luck. Share your Enrique work out list inspiration, if you have one too.
Thanks. And a special thanks to Enrique for keeping me going.

Permalink Reply by Tracey_EchangetheWorld1HeroGirl on April 9, 2012 at 11:19am So happy to help. I had been wanting to start this thread for a while now and finally got to it. I think all of us come from different places, but we all had/have to begin somewhere. Starting can be the toughest, but if you do something/ anything for a couple of weeks, it almost provides its own motivation. People don't always like to hear it, but you really do feel better doing it.
I would also add that keeping it fresh and rotating lists helps too. Adding songs with a nice beat or mixing it up a bit, will keep the momentum moving forward. Enrique's music in your ears is a highly recommended place to begin. Nomik, thank you for sharing your list. Great song picks.
Permalink Reply by Skysea on April 9, 2012 at 12:14pm Working out with your favorite music...what can be better :D.. My list is bigger..but I put more of different artists into it..not only Enrique...I adore do fitness with Alive, Rock me, Alabao, Taking back my love...Push..(year..especially when you do something difficult for your body) but also I love Lady Gaga - Born This way, Britney Spears - Overprotected, Maroon 5 - Wake up call..I also add more of rock music when I'm running or skiing.... I also have another list with slow and relaxed songs.. they are good when you do exercizes for streching..
Permalink Reply by Tracey_EchangetheWorld1HeroGirl on April 9, 2012 at 3:14pm Agreed. Stretching out or lifting weights, you have so much more choice in what you can use in your iPod. I do a lot of Enrique, but I do throw some other favorites in there too with a little bit of punch, Pitbull is another one that offers a good beat for exercise. And since moods vary, changing it up to whatever you're in the mood for, works too. Having a few playlists helps. You can go with what works on any given day. Honestly for me, Enrique is in those lists somewhere every time. But sometimes I do enjoy a good variety.

'California Callin' is another one to add to your workout list. It's a really good one to keep you going!
