Wow the best night ever.. I will never forget it. My "hero girl" experience, 8/11.

Wow… What an experience of a lifetime!!! I have been an Enrique Fan for 15 years and everyone who knows me laughs at my little obsession. I have to say my number one supporter is my husband. He has driven me to every event, stood in line with me for hours, bought me tickets to so many concerts and he thinks it’s the cutest thing seeing me go all crazy for Enrique. Saturday 8/11 started off a little gloomy, as it had been exactly one month since I had lost my best friend to a rare lung disease. My mom had bought the tickets for my husband and I as a birthday gift for me and she knows that when I go to a concert, it’s really no joke, my head and heart are 100% focused on Enrique. I seem to always run late to concerts, but this day was different. I got ready early, my husband and I went out for dinner and drinks, and we arrived an hour early to the concert. I made sure to buy my merchandise early, an EI zip up hoodie & an iphone case. I also made a sign hoping that I would get picked to have my picture taken at the end of the night. We went to our seats on the floor and I just was already having a great time. Once Enrique came on stage, I tried making my way to the front of the stage only to get scooted back to my seat by security after two songs. I waived my sign (which was lighted J) but I couldn’t seem to get his attention. I decided to just stay in my seat and enjoy the concert from my seat with the hubby. I did of course say that when the confetti came out I was going to make my way to the small stage in back and at least give it a shot. Once the lights turned off I grabbed my husband (who at that point was holding my clutch, sweatshirt, and poster) and told him to follow me. We were able to get a good spot in the front on the edge of the small stage and sure enough E came out a few minutes later. He started singing Hero and all of a sudden he made eye contact with me and read the poster that I told my husband to hold up for me. I was like “oh my gosh, he smiled at me and winked”… and that was enough to make me a happy woman. He started talking to the crowd again and then he asked who wanted to come on stage… and like a crazy woman I was jumping up and down and he makes eye contact again and says, “you…yes you.. come up” and I’m looking to my right and then to the left and I hear my husband say “it’s you…have fun up there” and he and two other security threw me on that stage (poor guys I was dead weight).. I thought I was going to nose dive right into the stage when Enrique grabbed my hand and saved my face.  To me, I was in a dream and right away I thought of my friend and knew that it was her who got me on that stage. After 15 years it was finally my moment and I have my little angel watching down on me. My knees at that point were shaking and I really thought I was going to collapse or pass out, there were sooo many emotions going through my mind. Of course E asked if that was my boyfriend and I said no it was my husband which he responded by saying, “Oh sh*t”.. I pleaded with him and told him no I promise its ok and he asked if I had a hall pass for the night. My husband told him I did and then he started singing again.. Next thing I knew I got my first kiss and I lost it…It was so crazy.. his lips were extra soft and moist and he smelled like perfection. Dancing and being in his arms was so exciting, for me it was just him and I up there. All I remember is him holding me tight, whispering things to me, and my hands just had a little mind of there own and wanted to feel him to make sure this was real. Then came another kiss.. Oh my I didn’t think I would make it through the whole song. At one point a strand of my hair got stuck on the mic and I tried taking it off, which E thought I was trying to grab the Mic.. umm no I don’t sing so I gave it back as quickly as I could. I love the way he was looking into my eyes, winking… making me feel like I was the most special girl in the world.. geez that’s a gift in itself that he has. He then asked my hubby for permission and my husband screamed “Go for it”… lol. Just when he was ending the song and I was so caught up in him, he tells my husband to come on stage with us.. Umm hello this is my moment with you lol….. My husband came up and he asked his name, how long we were married (which he later told me, he stumbled because were married civilly for 3 yrs and through the church for almost 1). Enrique tells my hubby what a cool husband he is and my husband shows him the tattoo of my name across his arm. My husband a few minutes before then had put on my sweater so he wouldn’t lose it while I was on stage so he said he was thinking “oh crap I’m on stage wearing my wife’s sweater” and he quickly took it off.. E tried handing him the mic but my husband is super shy and was not about to sing. Enrique grabbed us and then we disappeared under the stage in which once we got down he gave me one more kiss and grabbed my sweater and went into the box.. I told him “hey babe you have my sweater”.. he laughed and gave it back and said we were a great couple and he would see me soon. I tried picking up my phone twice for a picture, but never got to snap it but it didn’t matter. The memory was so beautiful and far better than any picture. Honestly, as soon as he left I started crying and was in complete disbelief. For the past month I had been having the hardest time of my life, I couldn’t escape the grey cloud that was hanging over me and instantly I felt relief, happiness, warmth and an emotion that is indescribable. All I could think is.. wow this is a huge way of my friend sending me a message and showing her love. It was a wonderful night and I couldn’t take the smirk off my face… actually it’s still there.
