CONGRATULATIONS ENRIQUE FOR YOUR LATIN BILLBOARD AWARD TOUR OF THE YEAR FOR YOUR GREAT SUMMER TOUR WITH J LO.  I LOVE AND ADMIRE YOU TO DEATH AND KNEW YOU WOULD WIN BUT NEVERTHELESS I WAS SO GLAD WHEN HEARING THE NEWS

It was to be expected in view of his amazing talent and love and passion for his career;  on Thursday Enrique took home the Latin Billboard award Tour of the Year for his marvelous and impacting summer tour with J Lo throughout the States last year in which hundreds of thousands of his American fans were blown away at his great performance.  Congratulations, Enrique. 

It's obvious that the trophee for Tour of the Year had to be awarded to Enrique;  his Euphoria Tour 2012 with J Lo resulted in sold out shows in twenty-five cities and his American fans lived an unique experience they will cherish forever. Enrique's tour with Jennifer far outdoes the most attractive and successful tours of 2012.  It would not have been correct if the award had gone to one of the other artists nominated (Vicente Fernández, Marc Anthony, Chayanne & Marco Antonio Solís and Mana).  However, I'm very glad that Enrique won the LatinBillboard award for Tour of the Year, although he was very likely to win.  

To give some more information the event had place on Thursday (April 25) in Miami and Enrique also was nominated in the categories Artist of the Year (Hot Latin songs) and Premio tu Mundo but unfortunately he didn't win.

CHECK OUT THIS SPLENDID INTERVIEW ENRIQUE GAVE -  ONE OF THE FIRST INTERVIEWS HE HAS GIVEN IN HIS 17 YEARS OF DAZZLING SUCCESS -  ON THE CHAT SHOW HOY CON DANIELA ROMO IN MEXICO (APRIL 29 1996).  AS I JUST SAID,  IT 'S ONE OF HIS VERY FIRST LONG INTERVIEWS,  YOU MUST SEE THIS ONE.

An extremely young Enrique in the beginnings of his career is interviewed on the Mexican chat show Hoy con Daniela hosted by the famous tv figure Daniela Romo.  Whoever saw him on this chat show will have noticed that at the age of 20 Enrique as opposed to many other artists was so open, friendly, charming, accessible, modest, sincere and down to earth (and he hasn't changed since then).  In the interview he commented that he's very grateful for the great opportunities he got when he was offered a label contract with Fonovisa and that he didn't hesitate to jump at them working very hard to advance in his career and never losing faith in his abilities.  

He remembers that as a child - he was about seven years old - he would kneel down next to his bed and pray to God asking him for help in achieving his biggest dream of becoming a singer and 14 years later he is performing for huge crowds who are keen on his music and beyond themselves with excitement and emotion sing his songs at his shows.  Enrique points out that he feels overwhelmed by their passionate support and outbursts of love including their screaming. While he's impressed about seeing them so affectionate at his shows there are three things he doesn't care very much about, which are money, fame and power.

  Enrique delivers a stunning performance in which he presents his first superhit Por amarte on the Mexican tv show Hoy con Daniela Romo.  Whoever saw him (and sees this video) performing Por amarte on Daniela's show shudders at the passionate look in his face and expressive and sensitive voice. 

His exceptionally excellent performance gets to the heart of every single soul in the audience, which can be told from the emotion on his fans'  faces.  His hundreds of fans madly enjoy and let themselves be swept away by his music and live show.

After this Enrique sits down to chat with the program's host Daniela.  In the interview he tells that the songs on his first album come from the bottom of his heart or in other words are a mirror of everything he felt and was going through his mind when he wrote their lyrics in his late teens (between the age of 15 and 18) withdrawn in his room.

I was really blown away when seeing this fragment of his appearance on the tv show Hoy con Daniela.  Since the day his first album came out Enrique has always loved his fans from the bottom of his heart and on the show he desired to reward them for their overwhelming and unconditional support and he invited Lucy Reyes, one of his biggest fans in Mexico and the vicepresident of his Mexican fan club, to chat with him and he hugged her.   

I felt deeply touched by the sweet and affectionate way Enrique talked with her and the loveful words he addressed to her that he owed a lot to his fans for their massive support and that he felt deeply overwhelmed by the effort and money they put into meeting him and being close to his heart.  I almost cried at hearing his wonderful words.  Every day I am eaten by the continuous repent about not having supported Enrique since his beginnings as many of his Mexican fans.  Instead of being more open to discover Enrique's music I idolized some damned movie actor who doesn't care a shit about his fans, only about the environment (as he pretends). 

After getting to know one of his biggest fans Lucy Enrique goes on to comment his plans of leaving for Brasil after the show where he will be recording a Portuguese adaption of his first album, which was already translated into Italian.

 After everyone has noted down the fan address for his Mexican fans  Enrique gets on stage to perform his great hit Si tu te vas, which since its release on the memorable date of September 25 1995 has conquered the hearts of the Hispanic public all over Latin America and the States.  Si tu te vas is that kind of song that gets to the heart of everyone who listens to it.  During his gripping show the entire public including the people crowding the last few rows are totally over the moon and all of them are singing with Enrique while tears are rolling down their cheeks and their faces are glowing with emotion and happiness. When later on Enrique leaves the stage to mingle with his public, his fans in the first rows are pushing frenetically to give him their love and live the most wonderful moment in their lives with their idol.

LET'S REMEMBER THIS VERY IMPORTANT MOMENT IN ENRIQUE'S LIFE....HIS VERY FIRST CONCERT IN HIS 17 YEARS OF SUCCESSFUL CAREER IN THE VARIETY SHOW SABADO GIGANTE IN MIAMI (OCTOBER 1995) 

  His first live performance on the Hispanic tv show Sabado Gigante (Miami, October 1995) hosted by the famous Don Francisco is such a  important and special moment in his career, which fans will always cherish in their memories.

His performance on Don Francisco's show Sabado Gigante was his very first concert - really his first concert - he gave in his 17 years of successful career, in which he has delighted millions of people all over the world in eight spectacular world tours and has achieved 69 number one hits on Billboard and other charts.  Enrique performed Si tú te vas and Trapecista and his exceptional performance is marked by a huge expressivity and sensibility which is hardly or never seen in other artists and let alone artists aged 21starting out in their career.  His outstanding performance  - and more than outstanding his performance was so incredibly excellent on the verge of supernatural -  must be seen by his fans who haven't been following him since his beginnings.  Personally, I will never forgive myself that I haven't been supporting him since 1995 or at least since 1999, when he landed at the top of all hit lists in the English music market and I was entering my teens.  

It's a video you must see absolutely, since it portrays Enrique in a milestone in his career, which is his first experience on stage performing his music for other people.  It is very touching to see how at his very first concert already everyone lost control and went crazy with his show.

Congratulations, Enrique. You are making us so happy with your divine music - we can't live without your songs -  and we have the greatest time in our lives at your concerts.  Keep on the great work!

The categories in which Enrique’s nominated are World’s best Male Artist, World’s Best Song for his single Finally found you and World’s Best Performer of the Year.  You will all agree that Enrique is simply the best and that most artists don’t even have half of his talent and work ethics. He’s so talented, he sings with so much sincerity and expresiveness that anyone shudders at listening to him.  For two years (2011-2012) he has been touring around the world and giving countless great concerts and never has he lost his fire you can tell from his looks and passionate way of performing ; his fire that no single human being who goes to see him live can resist. There’s nobody like Enrique  who is so devoted to his career and gives so much of himself to make wonderful music that gives us happiness and colours our lives.  Sometimes he makes personal sacrifices;  remember that he didn’t attend his brother’s marriage in Madrid last fall for having professional commitments.   In short, there’s no one like Enrique. 

Moreover, his single Finally found you is undoubtedly way better than all the other songs released last year  for its touching lyrics and the expression and sincerity that caracterize his way of singing its story. 

 

 It’s  very obvious that Enrique is the one who most deserves to win in the categories World’s best Male Artist, World’s Best Song and World’s Best Performer of the Year.  It would be a shame if he lost to the other nominees; that’s something we can’t let happen.  All of us we must support Enrique.   He’s the best in every sense, but that’s not the only reason why we should vote for him;  imagine the happiness in his face when at the World Music Awards ceremony he hears three times “and the winner is…Enrique Iglesias”.   The awards mean a lot to him, so please support him.  Please, vote for Enrique!
