SO hard. song, probably "Bailamos" because that's where it all started for me... with my love for Enrique's music and for music in general, a turning point if you will. haha. Definitely influential. and maybe "Escape" too, just because that was the second one I really got into and it's so catchy and upbeat. recently though I've been listening to "Everything's Gonna Be Alright"- the bonus track from the UK edition of Euphoria. I was really young then. and video...hmm. Some I like because I find them somewhat absurd and funny, but of the ones I can take seriously... probably "I Like It" cause I love the part where he slides across that counter. Pretty nifty. I really like the video for "Rhythm Divine" too, but I don't quite know why. haha.

I totally understand about worrying about grants and other monies needed to educate these kids. I don't understand why they go after the money that is for the kids! I understand putting salaries in their place, but don't touch the budget that goes towards books, materials and afterschool programs. It makes me crazy!!! I will keep my fingers crossed that the grant you need comes through. I luckily wasn't hit too hard with budget cuts - I work in a Catholic school, so we have NO budget and are always doing way more than we get paid to do- I do love it though. Right now I am working on a production for the school spring concert with my middle school students. It is coming along nicely-we have until the end of May but we are practicing already!!!

Yes, I did love MSG tons!!! I had a great time at both shows, but MSG was a bit more fun for me. I agree with the intimacy of the Borgata, but the energy was incredible at MSG - the crowd was off the hook!

Glad to hear you love your job - aides are sooooo crucial to the classroom - especially in the younger grades. I teach middle school language arts. I enjoy it - middle schoolers are thier own breed, but I love them dearly. Really hoping Enrique makes his way back to the Northeast soon - I am having withdrawl! How many shows have you been to? I've been a fan for a good part of 12 years, one of my first favorite musicians as a child, separate from my parent's favorite musicians. my first record I purchased with my own money :) Enrique's music will always have a special place in my heart; certain songs remind me of different points in my life over the past 12 years, nostalgia, you know? haha.

The Borgata show was great, but the MSG show was something euphoric - the crowd was electric at MSG - something I have never experienced at any concert I have ever been to. Were you at the Borgata? The VIP was pretty expensive - $400 (w/out ticket) with ticket I think it's $650 - they only offered the $400 one in AC and I had GA tickets so I wouldn't need the 650 one. The 400 & 650 VIP includes pics - the 140 only signed CD and a t-shirt.

I've been a fan for about the last 18yrs and just went to my first show 2 weeks ago in Alantic City NJ, at the Borgota! it was a blast. My husband bought me tickets on New Years Eve and I was so excited to see Enrique! It was a fantastic night out! I look forward to meeting new people and reading some really nice stories people have posted.
